Larry Lloyd joined CEFC in December of 2017. Larry is a former jr. high and high school English teacher and basketball coach who became a youth and worship pastor in the Chicago area. He then became a senior pastor in Ferney-Voltaire, France at an international church called Crossroads where he served and lived for 15 years. He is still a father of four boys who grew up in America and France and are now living all over the world. And, he is still married to Lisa.
Jesse joined the staff in January of 2019. In high school he began to feel God calling him into ministry. After graduation, he attended Emmaus Bible College to pursue God’s call on his life to ministry. That call has led him to serve in many capacities in children’s and youth ministries through the years. He recently finished his Masters in Christian Ministry through Liberty University.
Jesse and his wife Erica are currently living in Cuba City with their three boys, Judah, Elijah, and Ezekiel. He enjoys being able to spend time outdoors deer hunting or just being in God’s creation, spending time with family or traveling.
"I am excited God has led me here to serve Him through the Children’s Ministry at Community Church .I am so thankful and excited for the opportunity I have to partner with parents and volunteers as we seek to share the love of Jesus each week with children. I can’t wait to see children come alive in Christ and be who God created them to be.
I would like to personally invite any families with children to check out Community Kids! Community Kids is our Sunday Morning time (during the worship service) of learning and discovery about God. If you are new to the church please introduce yourself. If you have any questions about Children’s Ministry please get in touch with me!"
Kristi has been active in youth ministries as a small group leader and forming new ministries at churches that she has attended while moving about the country. Growing up in Indiana and then living in the south for almost 20 years, she’s picked up a few southernisms and y’alls along the way. Her husband, Eric, and 2 boys, Jacob and Josh reside in Cuba City on a farmette raising goats, chickens, and many barn cats. She enjoys time with family and going on walks with her dogs. She believes that God gives you experiences in life to deepen your faith. She can see how God has people cross your path to brighten your life and bring new experiences to share. She’s excited to connect and grow with the youth and families at Community church.
My favorite verse is “The Lord will fight for you, all you have to do is be still.” Exodus 14:14. What a comforting thought to just be still and God will go to battle for you. Just rest in His presence.

Let all that you do be done with love. 1 Corinthians 16:14
Jennifer joined the CEFC staff in 2013. Raised in a family where church was more tradition than anything else, it wasn’t until she started attending CEFC that she began a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. She and her husband Kurt were married in 2000 and lived in Madison, where Jen worked as a school counselor. Three years later they moved back to Platteville and joined CEFC. Ever since then, Jen has been involved with many ministries and events that have happened here, including MOPS, Women’s Day Seminar, Food For Kidz, Bible studies, family ministries, and Family Camp. She and Kurt have four children: Emma, Carson, Eli, and Keegan. They are devoted as a couple to raising them to have a personal relationship with Christ.
“We believe that God gave us these beautiful children to raise for Him on this earth. We are committed to doing our best in that most precious job!”
Shaleigh joined the CEFC staff in April of 2014. After graduating from Emmaus Bible College with a degree in counseling, youth ministries, and Biblical studies in 2011, she began attending CEFC and became involved with the youth group and children's ministries soon after. Her experience with graphic design and her eye for all things visual make her a great fit for multi-media communications administration, which includes maintenance of the website, social media outlets, and visual communications on Sunday mornings during the Worship Service. She also enjoys picking up various task-oriented jobs throughout the week.
“God has given me a heart for people, discipleship and youth ministry, and I am so grateful that through CEFC I can be equipped, built up, and have opportunities to serve Him in ways that He created me for. My goal is to love God, love people, and point others towards Christ (Acts 20:24). I love seeing people growing in their relationship with God as I grow in mine, and am excited to see how He continues to use me through the various ministries that He has given me a heart for!”
Leonard has served faithfully as the church facilities coordinator since 2008 but has also served as a volunteer audio technician since 2001. Leonard keeps the place clean, organized, and set up for all of the ministries and events that go on at CEFC. He clears the snow (what he calls the 's' word), mows the grass, and loves to take photographs of just about anything (many of the pictures on this website are from him). And talk about commitment: with the exception of just two months, Leonard has lived his entire life in Platteville!
