"People and the outdoors are two of my favorites. I love hanging out with my family and friends in nature. Much of what shapes my ministry involves learning about God in a balance of solo times of reflection and 'God conversations' coupled with the amazing relational catalyst of hanging out with people in God's creation."
Jason's high energy level makes him a perfect fit with our youth. He challenges them in serious Bible study and life lessons, and also offers them adventure (such as rock climbing, canoeing, mission opportunities, etc.)
"I realize how God's wired me not just to 'do', but to enjoy the doing of His work!"

Jennifer joined the CEFC staff in 2013. Raised in a family where church was more tradition than anything else, it wasn’t until she started attending CEFC that she began a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. She and her husband Kurt were married in 2000 and lived in Madison, where Jen worked as a school counselor. Three years later they moved back to Platteville and joined CEFC. Ever since then, Jen has been involved with many ministries and events that happen here, including MOPS, Women’s Day Seminar, Food For Kidz, Bible studies, family ministries, and Family Camp. She and Kurt have five children: Emma, Carson, Eli, Keegan, and Marlee. They are devoted as a couple to raising them to have a personal relationship with Christ.
“We believe that God gave us these beautiful children to raise for Him on this earth. We are committed to doing our best in that most precious job!”
Shaleigh joined the CEFC staff in April of 2014. After graduating from Emmaus Bible College with a degree in counseling, youth ministries, and Biblical studies in 2011, she began attending CEFC and became involved with the youth group and children's ministries soon after. Her experience with graphic design and her eye for all things visual make her a great fit for multi-media communications administration, which includes maintenance of the website, social media outlets, and visual communications on Sunday mornings during the Worship Service.
“God has given me a heart for people, discipleship and youth ministry, and I am so grateful that through CEFC I can be equipped, built up, and have opportunities to serve Him in ways that He created me for. My goal is to love God, love people, and point others towards Christ (Acts 20:24). I love seeing people growing in their relationship with God, and am excited to see how He continues to use me through the various ministries that He has given me a heart for!”
Leonard has served faithfully as the church facilities coordinator since 2008 but has also served as a volunteer audio technician since 2001. Leonard keeps the place clean, organized, and set up for all of the ministries and events that go on at CEFC. He clears the snow (what he calls the 's' word), mows the grass, and loves to take photographs of just about anything (many of the pictures on this website are from him). And talk about commitment: with the exception of just two months, Leonard has lived his entire life in Platteville!
