The purpose of the Faith in Action Ministry Team is to provide awareness to the congregation and nation, and to present opportunities for involvement and response. The team is to represent the church’s prophetic voice in the community as well as to provide help for specific needs.

Areas of ministry

We encourage members of the body of believers here at CEFC to participate in areas of service within the body and the community that reflect their interests and spiritual gifts. Our areas of ministry include:

Angel Tree – is a ministry where we have the opportunity to demonstrate God’s love by sharing Christ and purchasing a gift for children who have a parent in prison.

GriefShare – is a seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. This group is facilitated by people who understand what you are experiencing and want to offer encouragement. There is usually a fall session and a spring session offered each year.

Platteville Area Thrift Shop – offers us the opportunity to volunteer on a bimonthly basis. The Thrift Shop provides assistance to those in need.

Family Promise of Grant County - a program that exists to help homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response. CEFC hosts these families for a week at a time throughout the year.

James 2:17 states it clearly:”Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”

Ask yourself, “How can I get involved?”
