Jesse joined the staff in January of 2019. In high school he began to feel God calling him into ministry. After graduation, he attended Emmaus Bible College to pursue God’s call on his life to ministry. That call has led him to serve in many capacities in children’s and youth ministries through the years. He finished his Masters in Christian Ministry with an emphasis on Church Discipleship through Liberty University in the Spring of 2019.
Jesse and his wife Erica are currently living in Cuba City with their three boys, Judah, Elijah, and Ezekiel. He enjoys being able to spend time outdoors deer hunting or just being in God’s creation, spending time with family, and traveling.
"I am excited God has led me to serve Him here at Community Church. I am so thankful and excited for the opportunity I have to encourage our church on the disciple-making journery through Small Groups & Youth Group. I desire to see our church become more connected to each other through Christ-centered community that encourages an authentic walk with God, in the Small Group Ministry and the Youth Group! Students have such potential to change the world! I am looking forward to walking alongside students as they discover who God created them to be and how they can impact the world for Christ."
Cheyenne joined the staff in October of 2021. Yet only in God’s sovereignty would He orchestrate the thread in which she would arrive.
Though her eyes were opened to the idea of Christianity through youth group, her ministry journey started in eighth grade when she began volunteering for an after school program at her church. A few years later, despite shallow motives, God would provide her a job at a camp. Being on staff changed her life; in only five short weeks, the opportunity led her to pursue her Bachelor’s at Emmaus.
During her time at college, faith became so much more than simply doing. In fact, she found her heart transforming into one that desired to draw individuals, particularly hurting people, towards a God that never abandons and truly satisfies through the context of camp and trauma-based ministry.
In May of 2020, after her completion of Leadership Training at Development (LTD) at Forest Springs, Cheyenne earned her degree in Bible/Theology and Educational Ministries. In the past five years, she also worked in a variety of camps and organizations in Wisconsin and Michigan.
“I am so thankful to be a part of what God is doing at Community Church! It excites me knowing that a big omnipotent God, yet desires to use broken people for ministry. Not only am I eager to grow in leadership but to partake in the greater mission of CEFC.”
Leonard has served faithfully as the church facilities coordinator since 2008 but has also served as a volunteer audio technician since 2001. Leonard keeps the place clean, organized, and set up for all of the ministries and events that go on at CEFC. He clears the snow (what he calls the 's' word), mows the grass, and loves to take photographs of just about anything (many of the pictures on this website are from him). And talk about commitment: with the exception of just two months, Leonard has lived his entire life in Platteville!
